Mental strain is a reality for pilots and aviation personnel. At AntiSkid, you are supported by colleagues who understand the pressure and responsibility of flight operations – directly and confidentially. So you can get back on course.
Confidentiality is our top priority. We will not share any information without your explicit consent – not with your airline, nor with the LBA.
Give us a call. A peer will be there to listen to you. You can then arrange a consultation with no strings attached.
You will get to know the program. Together, you will discuss your situation and the next steps.
A mental health professional will assess your situation and discuss the next steps with you.
Depending on your personal situation, we support you through two different programs:

“As pilots, we are trained to keep our cool in difficult situations and make clear decisions. Yet even we are not immune to personal or external problems becoming a challenge. That is precisely when AntiSkid is there to provide trustworthy, professional and prompt support and to find solutions together.”

No, we do not share any data with your employer! We treat your request with strict confidentiality. It is important for you to know that our psychological and psychotherapeutic counseling team is bound by medical confidentiality, and the unauthorized disclosure of patient secrets is strictly punishable by law.
According to EASA (European Union Aviation Safety Agency) regulations, pilots with a mental health condition are not permitted to fly, as their fitness to fly may be impaired. However, fitness can be regained if pilots with mental health conditions can demonstrate successful treatment and undergo a specialist psychiatric assessment. Participants in the AntiSkid program receive close support throughout this process.
After speaking with two of our peers and—if you wish—a subsequent assessment by our team of psychological experts, you will receive feedback on whether there may be any mental health issues or a psychological condition present. We will also provide you with comprehensive information about the AntiSkid program and what participation entails. This allows you to decide at your own pace and on your own terms how you would like to proceed.
EASA regulation (specifically CAT.GEN.MPA.215) requires airlines in Europe to provide pilots with easy and rapid access to a support program for mental health issues that may affect their fitness to fly. The AntiSkid Peer Support Program meets these requirements.
The AntiSkid Foundation is the sponsor of the program. Professional and organizational implementation is carried out by Mental Care AntiSkid GmbH in collaboration with our peers and the psychological specialist team.
